PiYo is a workout combining elements of pilates and yoga. The focus of this workout is on strength and flexibility. It is definitely not a cardio workout although you may sweat just as much. It involves moves and poses and requires only your own body. The great thing about this workout is that it is low impact and provides modifications for every movement. This is a 2 month program. Month 1 focuses on learning the movements and poses while month 2 builds on the foundation with a faster pace. Each workout ranges from 25 to 45 minutes and can easily be done even when traveling away from home.

PiYo is for almost anyone wanting to increase strength and flexibility. It is a great workout for those ready to start an exercise routine, those looking for an effective quick workout, or those not wanting to buy a bunch of extra equipment to workout at home.
