The Summit Trainer is not really an elliptical. It’s better! The design eliminates the elliptical motion and replaces it with a climbing action. Most people don’t realize that ellipticals, while no-impact, can put strain on the knee during the forward pushing phase. Making the change to climbing helps better protect the knees and intensifies the workout. Also attributing to the higher intensity of the Summit Trainer is the constant effort required to maintain motion. That’s right, there is no momentum build-up. When the user stops, the machine stops.  The Summit Trainer is great for high intensity interval training, a targeted lower body work out, or a full body cardio workout. Given some time Summit Trainer users become Summit Trainer lovers.
